The covenant between the Jewish people and Hashem confirms the essential unity of every Jew—from the “heads” to the “feet”—which requires looking honestly at oneself before judging others. Both physical and spiritual tzedakah must be given with humility and equality, and by helping another Jew, we become recipients of an even greater Divine blessing.
